WHAT IS ADHD
What ADHD Means
ADHD is the acronym for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It’s a neurodevelopmental condition that can affect how people focus, manage energy, and respond to impulses.
Around 5% of people have ADHD, while up to 15% may have some form of neurodivergence. It affects people of all genders, backgrounds, and walks of life—so chances are, you or someone you know has a brain that works a little differently.

How ADHD Shows Up
ADHD can affect people differently. Some struggle with focus or following through. Others may feel restless or act impulsively. Many can experience a mix of both and more. These traits are known to influence how individuals organise tasks, manage time, handle emotions, or interact with others.

ADHD comes with strengths like creativity, quick thinking, and high energy—especially when someone’s in an environment that works for them in spite of the challenges.
